George Samuel GARDNER and Sydney Jane nee.POUNTNEY Formerly.ELLIOTT

Just wondering if anyone has done research into George Samuel GARDNER (Gardiner) and Sydney Jane nee.POUNTNEY Formerly.ELLIOTT. I know they lived and worked in Hill End for a number of years. There have been entries in the resources section of heattgg for them. I know that their 3 children Rebekah, George and Henry left the area and George died in Sydney in 1900 a widower but cannot find any information regarding Sydney Jane Gardner (Gardiner). Jane ELLIOTT daughter from a previous marriage of Sydney’s married a George GARDINER who later died in 1914 in a mining accident. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

This may be a long shot, but any chance was Rebecca Gardner living in Bathurst in 1840? If so, there is a chance she was the witness on my great great grandmother’s marriage certificate.
