The Gathering Group held a very pleasant visit to Experiment Farm at Parramatta on Saturday 9 November 2013.
We had about 25 members join us for a tour of this National Trust property.

Thanks to the excellent skills of our Guides, especially Rod Holman ( a Holman descendant) we were shown through the property and had plenty of time to appreciate the craftsmanship and details of life in the early 19th Century.
Lorraine dug out her family silver to serve afternoon tea on the verandah and whilst it was a very hot day we were able to enjoy a cool breeze on the shady side of the bungalow.
